DESCRIPTION:
E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., "No. 14 Regulator" wall clock, 8 days, time only, weight driven movement in a black walnut case with, gold leafed pendulum rod, painted metal dial and reverse painted tablet, c1874
CONDITION:
the clock has an untouched original finish. There is a 1/2" x 1/8" of trim absent around lower tablet. The very bottom of the case has some molding damage and roughness and extra nail holes to tighten the base. There are several extra holes beneath the dial, which is unsigned as pictured in Tran Du Luy's "American Clocks", Volume 1, page 119. The case lock assembly is absent and has been replaced with a hook and eyelet. Ht 44 1/2"
